Crown of Thorns

At about this very hour last Friday, I took this photograph in Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris:

Et milites plectentes coronam de spinis, imposuerunt capiti ejus.

The rector of the Cathedral is displaying the relic of the Crown of Thorns, normally only shown on First Fridays and Good Friday, but during this Year of Faith, every Friday.

after seeing this… how little we have to offer up, compared to these which HE bore for us! thank you Father for keeping Gods goodness forever in front of our eyes!
