The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a press release this morning confirming that the addition of St. Joseph’s name to Eucharistic Prayers II, III, and IV can begin immediately. And the official texts are confirmed in today’s Vatican News Bulletin.
In my previous post on the topic, I had pointed out that it was as yet unclear as to when the change could take effect.
Even with today’s clarification, it will take some time for this change to become known and become a habit, so don’t be too hard on Father if you don’t hear it on a consistent basis for a while. As it is, it seems that we are all still getting used to other recent changes at Mass…
