Boarding and Flying

Overheard while boarding (lady on her cell phone): “We got a priest on board. We’ll be fine.”

It’s nice to be back in the United States, where planes have wifi and folks are friendly.

It’s been an interesting 24 hours, as my flights yesterday were cancelled due to the volcanic ash in the air in Mexico. Thanks to the great kindness of both Delta and American Airlines employees, I managed to get on an Aeromexico flight this morning, and now, on an American Airlines flight to Huntsville. On Sunday I fly back to Mexico (hopefully on my originally-scheduled Delta flights).

Popocatepetl – the active volcano not too far from Mexico City that is currently spewing ash and messing up my travel plans. Photo from a news web site.

It’s a quick trip but it is good to be in the U.S. of A.!
