Benedict XVI Receives a Special Visitor

The statue of Our Lady of Fátima was, as I mentioned in an earlier post, brought to Rome on Saturday so that it could be venerated by Pope Francis and the faithful during the Marian Day.

Before the image was brought to St. Peter’s Square, however, it made a stop by the home of Benedict XVI in the Vatican Gardens. Rome Reports does the great service of showing us some footage of the event – including a look into Benedict’s private chapel and the opportunity to hear him reciting some prayers:
