Sign the Pope’s Birthday Card

Pope Francis will be turning 77 years old on December 17th, and the folks at the Catholic to the Max web store have created a very beautiful birthday card to send him, which we all can sign online. The card will be going to the National Catholic Youth Conference soon so that the participants there can sign it in person; but we can all sign it digitally through the following web site, and they will print out all the names received and add them to the card.

You have until next Sunday to include your name!

Our Lady, Undoer of Knots

As you will see, the card has the image of Our Lady, Undoer of Knots on it, a devotion that is dear to the Pope and one that he popularized in his native Argentina when he was bishop there. It is now becoming a bit of a worldwide phenomenon. I recently bought a print of this image at the Basilica of St. Mary Major; at the Vatican bookstore they sell prayer cards (in Italian); someplace else I saw something in Spanish. In the States, you can get all your Our Lady, Undoer of Knots gear from Catholic to the Max.

I blogged about this devotion previously, and encourage you to start praying to Our Lady under this title, which has ancient origins in the writings of St. Irenaeus!
