Three Beautiful Details

In preparation for an upcoming series that I will be doing, I was in a few different churches this afternoon taking photos. Here are three beautiful details from the Basilica of St. Augustine (Sant’Agostino) – the church in which St. Monica is buried.

First, an inscription in honor of the Blessed Mother, above the main altar. Translation in the photo caption:

Heaven’s joy – the world’s help – Purgatory’s solace.

I also stopped to say a prayer.
