Another month of May is upon us, and so another month dedicated to Our Lady. Although we begin it with today’s feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we will conclude it with the Feast of the Visitation.
Hopefully there will be a May crowning in your parish; of course in the United States we also celebrated Mother’s Day during this month, which is primarily about our earthly mothers, but we Catholics make it about our Blessed Mother also. It is also a very good month to pray the rosary on a daily basis! If you haven’t been doing so, it’s time to start!
Regarding the rosary, be sure to read what Pope John Paul I had to say about it, here.
If there is more than one of you in your house, then you should pray the family rosary.
For those starting out with the rosary, it can be challenging to remember what set of mysteries to pray each day. Here is a resource for that.
Perhaps you don’t have a rosary, or at least don’t have a good durable one that you can use on a daily basis. Maybe the combat rosary will be of interest to you.
